Evelyn and Howard Drinkwater Education Fund
Evelyn and Howard Drinkwater cared about the future of our youth at FPC and made provisions in their estate for the establishment of a scholarship fund. The fund was established for the purpose of offering undergraduate scholarships to young men and women of First Presbyterian Church.
The Drinkwaters created this scholarship fund as a legacy to their love of Jesus Christ, His church, and young people. Contact the church office or Christian Education Department to obtain an application.
Scholarship Criteria:
$2,000 may be awarded annually to one girl and one boy.
Selected students may receive $2,000 each academic year for a maximum of four years.
Students must maintain a 3.0 gpa.
Students must have a Citrus County address at time of application.
Highest consideration for a scholarship will be given to students going to college directly from high school.
Preference will be given to students who are members or active participants at FPC.
Students must attend an accredited college or university, and funds are paid directly to the university.
A scholarship application and personal interview are required.

Jon LaFontaine Scholarship Program
This Men’s Fellowship scholarship program is for students wishing to receive vocational training. This program is for individuals interested in learning skills that will allow them to move into the current employment market. The assistance will take the form of a grant to pay toward tuition, books, and/or lab expenses. Instructions may take the form of hands-on learning as at WTC or online courses targeting a vocational skill. A grant of up to $250 will give preference to members of our church community. If this program is of interest to you, please contact Ron Embling at 419-6486.

Fred S. Harris Scholarship Fund
The Fred Harris Scholarship Fund was established in 1998 with a bequest from the Fred Harris estate. It provides financial support, as funds are available, in order of precedence, to First Presbyterian Church seminary students, undergraduate students in Christian Education, and students seeking an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
Scholarship Criteria:
Applicants must be children of First Presbyterian Church members, children of the Pastor or professional staff, or members of the church. For a list of other eligibility requirements, contact the church office.

Other Scholarship Aid
First Presbytrian Church also provides financial support, as funds are available, for certain activities and events. These include summer camp, retreats, conferences, and other events deemed appropriate.
