Welcome to the Web site of the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness. We are a relatively old church in our community, having been organized in 1911. We are a congregation of some 450 souls, who try to live our mission statement that is “to know Jesus Christ personally, to make him known, and to reflect His love through worship, education, and service to all.We are a Stephen Ministry congregation.
Our church strives to be a loving, living testimony for Christ in our community, and we believe that the most beautiful and authentic Christian witness is expressed where the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) is growing abundantly in people’s lives.

Located as we are in Florida’s “Citrus County,” we are mindful that fruit grows best and most prolifically where the soil is healthiest, and so we seek to be the most spiritually healthy church that we can be, by the grace of God. In recent years, we have experienced new life and transformation, while growing more and more fully in spiritual health and vitality. As we have done so, we have become increasingly missional in focus, seeking to be faithful in word and deed to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to impact our community with God’s amazing grace and unconditional love.

We offer traditional worship services each Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m, and offer a blended contemporary worship service at 9:30 a.m. Our 11:00 a.m. Sunday Sermons are online as podcasts  you can listen to on your Web browser or download it and take it with you on a portable device.
